The local organising committee (Colin Harwood and Leendert Hamoen) and the Bacell Steering Group are pleased to announce that BACELL 2013 will take place in Newcastle upon Tyne, UK. The conference brings together researchers from the European Bacillus community as well as members from several European consortia that perform fundamental and applied research on Bacillus subtilis and related Gram-positive bacteria. The meeting will take place over two days (10th-11th April 2013) with a conference dinner at the Great North Museum on the university campus. The meeting is open to all researchers interested in research on members of the genus Bacillus. The scientific sessions for BACELL 2013 will be held in the Medical Sciences Building on the main university campus in the centre of Newcastle, with easy reach to hotels, restaurants and pubs.
